Northwestern University is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. To maximize the tax deductible portion of your gift, you may decline to receive any benefits when you make your gift to Northwestern. If you choose to accept your benefits, we are required to inform you your charitable contribution will be reduced by the value of those benefits.

In 2018, the federal government signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Under the new tax law, donors are not able to take a deduction for contributions that are tied to a specific seat location. In response to this change, we have set up a new account under the umbrella of the Wildcat Fund called 'Seating - Athletics'. This new account is linked to the Wildcat Excellence Fund and provides all the same opportunities as a Wildcat Excellence Fund gift except for the tax-deduction. Any gifts that are tied to seating locations must be allocated to the Seating - Athletics account.

Please consult your tax advisor for further clarification.
You can make your gift to the Wildcat Fund by phone, mail, fax or online.
Your contribution is due prior to the one-year anniversary of your last gift. Please note that a donation in the current fiscal year (September 1-August 31) is required to activate your Purple Points.

Absolutely!
