GIVING

Northwestern University is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. To maximize the tax deductible portion of your gift, you may decline to receive any benefits when you make your gift to Northwestern. If you choose to accept your benefits, we are required to inform you your charitable contribution will be reduced by the value of those benefits.

In 2018, the federal government signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Under the new tax law, donors are not able to take a deduction for contributions allocated to Seating-Athletics that are tied to a specific seat location.

Please consult your tax advisor for further clarification.
An annual contribution to Seating-Athletics is required for select football and men's basketball season ticket locations on a per-seat basis. Any gifts that are tied to seating locations must be allocated to the Seating-Athletics account.

Support to Seating-Athletics provides the same opportunities as a Wildcat Fund gift except for the tax-deduction. Currently, a donor's annual Seating-Athletics contribution may apply to both football and men's basketball season tickets. After the last season in current Ryan Field, a separate annual Seating-Athletics contribution will be required for football and men's basketball.
Check out the many Ways to Give to the Wildcat Fund.
